The 4 horsemen of….Leviticus?

I was reading my Bible this morning and I ran into the most interesting little connection. I found the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse in Leviticus 26. The more we read the Bible the more we see that everything connects back to the Books of Moses. They prophecy of Jesus and every aspect of His revealing. The deeper you dig the more amazing it becomes. Many people have noticed the 4 horsemen in Zechariah or Isaiah, but you don’t hear much about them in Leviticus so I thought this would be an interesting little side by side.

“…White horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.”

“…another horse, bright Red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that people should slay one another, and he was given a great sword.”

“….Black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and the wine!”

“….a Green horse! And its rider’s name was Death (Thanatos), and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.”

These are the 4 horsemen as described in Revelation 6. In Leviticus 26 I think we see further descriptions of these same entities. This is the description of the breaking of the covenant with God. It prophesies when Israel would be dragged away to Babylon. But there is a mystery Babylon in Revelation, where the whole earth will be taken captive. I think these same 4 horsemen were riding just before Israel was taken to Babylon. Let’s look and see if we can find some description of these.

Leviticus 26:14-17, “But if you will not listen to me and carry out all these commands, and if you reject my decrees and abhor my laws and fail to carry out all my commands and so violate my covenant, then I will do this to you: I will bring on you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever that will destroy your sight and sap your strength. You will plant seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it. I will set my face against you so that you will be defeated by your enemies; those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee even when no one is pursuing you.”

The White horse is a conqueror, do we see a people who is conquered? “I will set my face against you so that you will be defeated by your enemies: those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee even when no one is pursuing you.” Behold the white horse. It’s rider has a bow and is given a crown. In the time when God allows it, this entity takes rulership on the earth. An enemy who rules over the earth. He will hate God’s people and be in charge. Michael will be removed from the protection of those who once followed God but now reject His ways and His covenant. And he rode out conquering and bent on conquest. How many empires have we watched in world history go on this ride? In the end there will be a global Babylon that drags the entire world into captivity, a globalist empire if you will.

The Red horse is the sword of war. There are many causes of war but Horus or Ares or whoever this is, will be at the root of the conflict. “You will plant seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it. I will set my face against you so that you will be defeated by your enemies” Sounds like the sword of war coming along with the bow of conquest. But the real power is not war but the removal of peace, creating the vacuum of war to fill the space. “you will flee even when no one is pursuing you.” Natural resources, natural disasters, famines… there are many reasons for mass migrations, there are many scarcities to fight over in hard times. Lack, greed, anger…there are many stealers of peace.

The Black horse has always sounded like Marx to me, but it could also sound like Capitalism. I think the two have the same goal in the end. Join everything together under one rule. Fairness driven to its extremes can work from either angle. He had a pale of scales in his hand, a fair global system. He distributes to all, a little food for a days wages. The Global Reset movement is very Black horse. Themis, Ammit, Libertas….her statue stands atop the U.S. as well as France. Leviticus says it this way, “I will break down your stubborn pride and make the sky above you like iron and the ground beneath you like bronze. Your strength will be spent in vain, because your soil will not yield its crops, nor will the trees of your land yield their fruit.” We see this in the time of Elijah, before the exile and again in the end times.

Then comes the Green horse, some translators call it the pale horse, has Thanos from the Avengers riding on it. Or at least the root concept of Thanos, which is the Greek god Thanatos, the personification of death. I thought that was really interesting when I watched end game and realized that half of people are wiped out. That’s just how many people are wiped out in Revelation. We see 1/4 first and then another 1/3, look at that on a pie chart and you’ll see how it’s half. The Green horse and its rider death and companion Hades, the god of the underworld, ride out together. One is where we get the grim reaper from and the other is where we get the devil with the pitch fork from. They start out by killing 1/4 of people by many means. It’s violence and disease and wild animal attacks and what not. In Leviticus we see it this way, “I will send wild animals against you (beasts perhaps?), and they will rob you of your children, destroy your cattle and make you so few in number that your roads will be deserted.”

Has anyone seen a deserted road during Covid by the way? Well I have good news and bad news. The good news is that revival is coming! You see Jesus may come back at the end of all of this or He may not. At some point these things will happen leading up to His return, but these things have repeated through history many times. We in America need to be sure to read how this progresses over time. “You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters. I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars and pile your dead bodies on the lifeless forms of your idols, and I will abhor you.” We see here the clear signs of revival! The destruction of the idols of the nation and the slaying of those who follow them, is pretty much revival guys!

We are heading for the time of Josiah, a time of great revival, followed immediately by the great destruction living in the words of Leviticus 26. Get your houses in order. The Lord is going to give us a special time to hold off the destruction. Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” 1 Corinthians 15:24, “Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.” We are close now, praise Jesus we are close! May you walk orderly in the chaos! May your house be a household of faith! May you reach up to love God and out to love your neighbor, on which the very foundations of the universe sit, and may God bless all y’all.
