I was praying about the next steps in knowing my own purpose and I had an interesting dream. I got myself an RV from Dickens RV. Then I proceeded to help out around the RV shop until they just hired me. This was showing me my next job. I’m going to be working for a certain someone named Tom. But at first I’m just supposed to volunteer. Everything is starting to come into focus.
The most interesting thing about this dream, is the name Dickens. See the RV simply represents a house (church) that travels. And an RV dealer represents a group that both travels and sets up others to replicate the process. It’s pretty specific to a certain equipping ministry that I’m in contact with and that God has called me to help. But the origin of the name Dickens goes all the way back to beginning of modern day England in the Norman invasion. Norman means North Man which reminds me of Isaiah.
Isaiah 14:31-32, “Wail, you gate! Howl, you city! Melt away, all you Philistines! A cloud of smoke comes from the NORTH, and there is not a straggler in its ranks. What answer shall be given to the envoys of that nation? “The Lord has established Zion, and in her his afflicted people find refuge.” This is about the invasion of God’s people into the land of God’s enemies. Again this is very much significant of what this ministry will be.
And so from the foundations of Western society, we see a link all the way back to the invading forces of the Normans. The Dickens family would have been among the invaders. Now Dickens means the son of Richard and Richard means King or ruler. Names can have so much meaning can’t they? Dickens RV is a place owned by the family of the sons of the Kingdom!
And so invade we must! As Jesus said, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14. Scripture can’t be broken guys so the end isn’t coming until we finish our job! And after that Paul tells us, “But each in turn: Christ, the first fruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the Kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.” 1 Corinthians 15:23-24
The church must invade the earth and preach the gospel to everyone! Then the Lord can return and destroy the dominions of the earth and hand the Kingdoms of this world over to God the Father. So off I go into the calling of all believers.
I remember telling you about how I met my wife. God let me know we were going to get married before she knew and before we ever went on a date. I couldn’t just tell her, she had to find out on her own. So I committed to just love her. If it took 10 years for her to love me back then that was God’s way. Because of that approach it happened very quickly. I didn’t run her off. And the same with this ministry that I am going to be working for. I’m not going to tell them they are going to hire me. I’m just going to love them and help them. This is why the porpoise is going to move so fast. Just sit back and commit to God’s plans and wait on Him to move the mountains.
May the Lord put a fire in your heart to invade the earth with the gospel! May the Lord unite the small and overlooked of the world! May the gospel be preached to the poor among us! May the you hear from God about His calling on your life! May you commit to do the work before anyone knows the Lord has spoken! May you watch the mountains be moved by you faith to commit to His word and may God bless all y’all.
